I was delighted to design and install this of two murals for the newly renovated Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina are anchored as a dynamic, communal staple of the vibrant San Diego harbor so the desire to bring their guest-facing deck to life with a sunny-inspired mural was the perfect opportunity. The mural implements their taglines "The Heart of the Harbor" and "Where San Diego Comes Alive" using a warm yellow + cool blue color palette.
Elements within the mural were inspired from their existing palette. From their holistic flowing wave pattern and vintage-inspired terrazzo tiles—to graphic water ripple reflections and confident yellow vertical stripes pulled from the resort towels—guests are invited to ease into the San Diego poolside energy and relaxed waterfront location.
After the mural was complete, I was invited to design a matching can wrap for the launch of Hoppy Harbor—a lager beer crafted exclusively for the resort by Brewery X to celebrate their one-year anniversary.
